    We are staying at a Disney resort between Dec. 18 - Dec. 24. Can you tell me what day I can make dining reservations online?

    Hello, Janette, and welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you are thinking ahead to your advanced dining reservation. I am vacationing at Walt Disney World right around the same time as you and am also starting to put together my itinerary. 

    Janette, advanced dining reservations can be made 60 days prior to your check-in date. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can go ahead and make all of your dining reservations for your trip up to 10 days. By my calculations, and you'll want to double-check my math, your reservation day is going to be Tuesday, October 19, 2021. All I do is a quick internet search like "60 days prior to December 18, 2021" and let the search engines do all of the work. Janette, you can make dining reservations online via your MyDisneyExperience account starting at 6:00 a.m. or over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. If you can be online a little bit before 6:00 a.m. that is the ideal time. Some of the very best spots fill up so quickly and I want you to have the best chances that you can get! 

    If you are looking for dining recommendations, I do have a few to share with you. Here are some of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World right now:
    • Steakhouse 71 for dinner located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I've sampled every single dinner menu item and I can attest it is fantastic! 
    • The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. This is my current go-to restaurant. I love the lobster roll, served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries.
    • Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort for breakfast. This is a fun character breakfast with beautiful views of the Walt Disney World Resort. 
    • California Grill for a date night at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Enjoying a meal here gives you firework viewing access from the rooftop of the resort. The food is delicious and the view is amazing.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
