We are staying at a Disney resort and are considering getting the dining plan. However, we wanted to purchase our park tickets separately to get the military discount. Can we still add on a dining plan or is it only available if we package it all together?

    Welcome Back, Charlotte!

I'm an Air Force Wife and I have some great news - yes, U.S. Military families are absolutely able to 'create their own Disney Vacation package' by adding a Disney Dining Plan to a Disney Resort Hotel Stay even when they have purchased their Disney Theme Park Tickets elsewhere. We're the only group allowed to bundle a Dining Plan with tickets purchased elsewhere, and actually a dining plan can be added all the way up until a few days before your check-in date. Pro Tip: Definitely start booking your Dining Reservations now, even before you've added a Dining Plan, as some locations fill up completely as soon as their 180 day reservation window opens.

Did you know that there is also a U.S. Military discount on Disney's Memory Maker? For $98 you'll have immediate access to download every single Disney PhotoPass Photo your party takes. With Photographers stationed in front of famous park icons like Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park and the Tree of Life in Disney's Animal Kingdom, as well as posted at most Character Meet & Greets and Character Breakfasts, you could potentially have Disney document every moment of your vacation! And even better, your whole crew will actually be in ALL of the photos! Pro Tip: Purchase the discounted Memory Maker at Guest Services when you're activating your Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets.

I hope this helped, Charlotte, and please come back to ask any all of your Disney + Military questions! We'll See You Real Soon!
