Staying at a Disney resort over Christmas, are guest permitted to bring a small (3") artificial tree? Thanks

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dale! I’m smiling at your name, because the Pluto’s Christmas Tree holiday short is one of my very favorites – I can’t get enough of those rascals Chip 'n' Dale dropping ornaments on Pluto from inside their home, which has become Mickey and Pluto’s holiday tree. It’s just wonderful.

You know what else is going to be wonderful? Enjoying the warm glow of a Christmas tree inside your Walt Disney World Resort hotel! It’s such a magical idea to bring your own small tree to enjoy while in your room over a holiday visit, and I’m so happy to confirm that this is permitted. Just be sure the tree is not in the way of housekeeping’s ability to fully open your room door or do their work in the room, and that any lights you bring for the tree or elsewhere in your room are safely unplugged at night and when you leave the room. Battery-operated LED lights are a great option. I just spent a week at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and a fellow Guest had strung holiday lights around their balcony, and it was so festive to see!

There is so much holiday magic all around the Walt Disney World Resort right now, and I hope you have the happiest holiday in The Most Magical Place on Earth. Don’t miss the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs – it’s just incredible to walk through a Florida winter wonderland of Disney-decorated trees. I can’t pick a favorite!

As you count down the days to your visit, be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest holiday news, and please come back and see us if you have any further questions as you deck the halls and dream about merry days with Mickey.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
