Hello, if you are staying at a Disney resort, do you automatically get into parks with early park hours or extra evening hours or do you have to pay extra? Also are Fastpass required rides more accessible during these hours? Thank you

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

If you’re staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel during your upcoming vacation, Extra Magic Hours are included as part of the “perks” associated with your stay. This extra time to play in the Theme Parks is complimentary for Disney Resort hotel Guests and is reserved exclusively for them, so feel free to play to your heart’s content! The only times you’ll need to pay extra to stay in the Theme Parks are for Special Events such as Disney After Hours events or Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

As for whether attractions offering FastPass+ service are more “accessible” during those extra hours, the answer depends on lots of factors. Some of the most popular attractions, such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park and Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom continue to see significant wait times during Extra Magic Hours, though the lines do move more quickly because FastPass+ service isn’t available during those hours. My tip would be to wait to experience those attractions closer to the end of Extra Magic Hours to ensure the lowest wait time possible.

    Have a Magical Day,
