Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Allen. I'm so glad you've stopped by to chat about one of my favorite things - Disney dining!
Allen, planning a
Walt Disney World vacation is so exciting and a huge part of any Disney vacation is all of the yummy food that can be found around the Walt Disney World Resort. Some of the best places can fill up really quickly so it is a good thing that you are here to figure out just when you can make those advanced dining reservations.
Advanced dining reservations can be made 60 days prior to your check-in day. Since you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you'll be able to make your dining reservations for the length of your stay up to 10 days. To figure out the exact date, I like to put something like, "60 days prior to August 18, 2022" into my internet search bar. Of course, you will fill in your exact check-in date but then should have exactly which day you'll need to be ready by. You can start making those dining reservations bright and early starting at 6:00 a.m. online or 7:00 a.m. over the phone. All of your travel dates will be open for booking, so you don't necessarily have to go in order. If you have a super popular dinner spot for the 3rd day of your vacation, you might want to book that first and then go back to the start of your trip. You can do it however you'd like. I do highly encourage you to set that alarm and not to miss out on those early morning reservations because like I said before, places do tend to fill up quickly.
If you are looking for a must-try spot, I recommend
The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. It's my favorite place to eat at Walt Disney World right now. The restaurant is set right on the lake and provides stunning views as the sun goes down. The menu is extensive and there truly is something for everyone - even picky eaters. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade the fries to truffle parmesan fries. They are off the charts good! If you are a fan of dessert, the key lime pie in a jar is just perfect. It's tart and sweet but not too heavy. It's a perfect way to end such a great meal.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions about this or anything else while you plan your vacation, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Happy planning!
Jackie H.
