I am staying at a Disney resort can I add a Disney gift card to my magic band

Hi Jodi, and welcome to planDisney! This is such a great question. Anything you can do to make some of the little tasks easier and make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation as stress-free as possible sounds great to me!

Jodi, my family has used Disney Gift Cards to pay for all kinds of things at Walt Disney World, from meals to souvenirs and even to pay our Disney Resort hotel balances. Your MagicBands don't hold any personal or payment information, so technically, you can't link your gift cards or credit cards directly to them. But you can absolutely use gift cards to pay for charges you make to your room account with your MagicBands! My friend and fellow planDisney panelist Doug answered this question for another Guest with such great detail, I couldn't have said it any better myself. Check out his tips for how to use those gift cards to help make your Disney stay a breeze!

And of course, your purchases will definitely include some fun souvenirs to help you remember your magical vacation. But with so many to choose from, how will you decide? Well, planDisney has you covered, Jodi! We've compiled a list of gadgets and gizmos aplenty, along with whozits and whatzits galore, right on our planDisney Panel Extras page. It's sure to help you find that perfect treasure from your family trip.

I hope this helps you make the most of your Disney days, Jodi. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
