Hi Moms! We will be staying at Disney Pop Century Resort with our almost 2 year old - we plan to use shuttles and taxi's, do I need to bring my own car seat?

    Hi Justine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort with your very own Mouseketeer.  You're going to love seeing the Magic of Disney come to life through your child's eyes. And how double exciting that you're visiting during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I have great news - you can leave the car seat at home (well, maybe in the car you use to get to the airport) as it won't be needed at all during your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Disney's Resort Transportation, which includes the Magical Express from and back to the airport, Disney's Resort Buses, Disney's world famous Monorail and even the various boat and water transports all allow for lap sitting, baby wearing, and children sitting in their own seats. Independent taxi's and hired cars may have their own rules as far as children riding in restraints, however one of my bests friends was able to hire a regular taxi without a car seat for her daughter.

The best mode of hired transportation available at Walt Disney World Resort is Disney's Minnie Van Service. These vehicles are hired through the Lyft App, but each car is owned, inspected and maintained by Disney, and the drivers are all licensed, insured and highly trained Disney Cast Members. These vehicles even include the use of up to two car seats for children of all ages and stages!
