We are staying in Disney next week but my kids wanted to try fishing at Fort Wilderness in the canals as well as take a horseback ride. Are we able to go to Fort Wilderness to do some of the unique activities?

    Hi Thera,

I'm so excited for you! Your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here in just a few short days.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers many recreational activities for families. As guests at Disney, you are welcome to enjoy the numerous options which are available including fishing, biking, kayaking,  and much more.

Horseback riding is offered for guests 9 years of age and up. You can enjoy exploring the beautiful, wooded trails as you make priceless memories together. When my kids were younger, they had a lot of fun participating in the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience.

Many of these unique experiences can be booked 180-days in advance, so you will want to give them a call at (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529 as soon as possible to check availability.

    Wishing you magical memories,

    Kaylene
