    Hello - I am staying at Disney Music at the end of June (so excited!!) my family and I are travelling from the UK. We were wondering how far is it from the hotel to the nearest supermarket so we can get in basic items ready for our days out and about.

    Hi Tanya! Your June vacation will be here before you know it and I can understand how excited you are!

    Each resort has a small shop where you can purchase some basic food staples but the choices are slim. The nearest grocery store is in the Downtown Disney area but you would need to take a taxi to reach them. That can be expensive and it takes a chunk of time away from your Disney stay. My suggestion is to pre order the food you might need by using Gardengrocer.com. You can find them on the web and although there is a minimum order amount of $40 it doesn't take long to get to that point especially if you order a case or so of water. When you use this service they will deliver to your resort on the day you check in so everything is there waiting for you. IF there is something perishable the resort will keep it refrigerated until you arrive. When you place your order you can pick a day and then a time for delivery. I have used them many, many times and they have always been wonderful. You pay by credit card when you place the order making this the easiest way to have snacks for your vacation. The choices are wide so you need a bit of time to go through their menu.  They also include such items as suntan lotion and simple medicines making those that travel by air to Disney an easy way not to have to fill their luggage with heavy items such as this.

    Just a few months and you will be enjoying the sun and fun in Florida!
