Hello Terry!
Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are planning on visiting during the Halloween season at Walt Disney World Resort! My family has had a chance to enjoy this event twice and we love it!
Most likely by the end of April, we will have news and updates from the Disney Parks Blog letting us know about the upcoming Halloween fun. The main event, of course, is
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which is a specially ticketed event that occurs on select evenings in Magic Kingdom Park. This event is very exciting as the park closes down just for ticket holders. The lighting and music changes and many attractions get special overlays and music. Guests also get a chance to enjoy Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular nighttime spectacular! There are lovely shows and surprises each year. My favorite part is that guests can arrive in costume and trick-or-treat around the park! My family has arrived in the same Toy Story costumes each year and have taken a photo in the same spot as a memory. There are some
rules about costumes but my best tip is to make sure they are breathable and flexible. It can be hot then cool during one party and having flexible outfits for all weather conditions is a big help.
Disney's Hollywood Studios joins in on the fun with a character dining experience where Minnie and friends come in costume!
Hollywood & Vine has Minnie's Halloween Dine which is only offered this time of year. Make sure to book the lunch or dinner buffet for this special event as the breakfast has different Disney Junior characters. There could be even more events but the details have not yet been released. Keep an eye on Disney Parks' social media and the
Disney Parks Blog for updates!
I hope this helps and if you continue to have more questions please feel free to
let me know!Happy Planning!
