Hi Nancy!
Twice now I've made the same plan as you, visiting Walt Disney World in the first week of December followed by a Disney Cruise. It's the
perfect time of year to do it with low crowds, pleasantly mild weather ... and even calm seas! I hope the weather and conditions turn out as perfectly for you in your travels as they have for us in the past!
You'll be able to reserve your
Candlelight Dinner Package as soon as you reach 180 days from your Walt Disney World Resort check-in date. If you're arriving December 2nd, this would mean that on Tuesday, June 5th you'll be able to reserve all of your dining reservations for the duration of your 6 night stay.
Online Disney Dining Reservations begin at 6am while reservations by telephone with the assistance of a Cast Member at (407) WDW-DINE are taken beginning at 7am.
Last year's celebrity line-up of Narrators was announced at about the third week in June. I'd recommend that you choose the date that best suits your itinerary and plans and reserve early, knowing that you can always call back in to make a change should there be a particular narrator that you'd most like to see during your stay. Whomever narrates your performance, you'll be equally pleased with the show I am sure!
Regularly check
The Disney Parks Blog and
Walt Disney World website during the month of June to watch for updates, or visit me here again and I'll be happy to share any updates with you that I may have by then!
Wishing you a Magical time as you begin planning the details of your Magical December land and sea holiday Nancy!
