Hi! We are staying at the Disney Beach Club Resort this Wednesday - Sunday, and I was wanting to order some groceries to have in the room as well as some wine. Is it possible to use Shipt to order these things? If so what is the process for accepting it?

Cameron, hello and welcome to planDisney

Disney's Beach Club Resort is one of my favorite places to stay for a Walt Disney World vacation. The location is perfectly nestled right between EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios and the amenities like the pool area cannot be beaten. You are going to have so much fun.

I, too, like to order a few things when I am at Walt Disney World. You can use any company that you'd like to have your groceries delivered. If you are planning to order wine or anything that requires an identification check, you will need to be there to accept your groceries from your delivery driver. If you are not there, the front desk will accept your order for you but the wine will be removed from the company that you ordered from. You will need to have your identification verified by the delivery driver to have wine or things like that delivered. I always try to have my delivery scheduled for about the time I am getting there, that way I am able to show my i.d. and have my whole order delivered. If you aren't there at the time of delivery, the resort will accept your order but there is a small handling fee that the resort will charge you. If your room isn't ready yet, you can have them store your things for you with Bell Services. If you have cold items, they will even keep them in a refrigerator for you. That's another reason I like being there for the delivery - to separate out the cold items to be held separately if my room is not yet ready. When you are ready to have the items that you've ordered taken up to your room, you can either go to Bell Services and get them yourself or you can call from your in-room phone to have them delivered. Using Bell Services is a complimentary service to you but I always suggest having a little cash on hand to tip the Cast Members helping you.

I hope this helps, Cameron. If you have other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

Have fun and enjoy staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
