Hi, if we are staying at Disney art of animation the first night because there is no more room available at the pop century. Will we be able to use the extra package that include mini golf on the first day or we have to chek in at the pop before ?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Genevieve!

I’m so happy to see that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this December. The holiday season is my favorite time to visit, with so much merry magic in the air! Nobody decks the halls quite like Disney, and since you’ll be staying at two resort hotels, that means you’ll have two gorgeous Christmas trees to enjoy, and two food courts to check for special holiday treats. That’s twice the festive fun!

It sounds like you’ve booked a one-night room-only stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, followed by a vacation package at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. If that’s the case, then the Magical Extras (which include 4 vouchers for a round of miniature golf per package) will be valid for the length of your stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This means you would likely not be able to use the vouchers on the day of your check-in at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, because the stay connected to the package has not yet begun. I recommend asking a Cast Member at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort when you check in, as they know the rules and might be able to sprinkle some pixie dust – it never hurts to politely ask!

There are so many great discounts and perks that come with the Magical Extras, so be sure to read all the details. You’ll need to remember to bring your Magical Extras Card (and vouchers, where applicable) with you to redeem the discounts – there is a terrific 20% discount at Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company, and on a recent visit, I kept missing out because I left the card in our resort hotel room. Don’t be like me!

Genevieve, I hope you have a holly jolly holiday at Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog, because they share the latest news, planning tips, and even delicious food guides so you can squeeze every drop of magic out of your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Since I see you are from Quebec, I also wanted to be sure you know that we are able to answer questions here on the Moms Panel en français if you’d like, and my friend and our fellow Canadian Lynne C. is happy to help! Have so much fun, and please stop by again if you think of any more questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
