We will be staying at Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge this December. My husband would like to invite an old friend from college to the hotel for a drink at the pool. His lives right outside of Orlando. He would not be using the facilities. Can this be done?

    Hi Carol,

We live a little more than an hour from Walt Disney World, so we've often dropped in to meet friends who are visiting from other parts of the country. In fact, we recently went to Animal Kingdom Lodge for the afternoon to do just what you want to do: have a drink by the pool and catch up.

When your husband's friend arrives, he will need to show his ID at the security gate and tell them he is meeting you. He should be able to park and go inside without issue.

Thanks for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carol. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. Enjoy!
