We will be staying at the Disney Allstar Sport resort. Can we decorate the window? Are there any restrictions? What size is the window?

    Hi Jamie!

I'm happy to hear you have an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation on the horizon, and that you'll be staying at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort! The theming at the resort is so fun - you'll feel like you're right in the middle of the action of popular competitive sports such as football, baseball, basketball, tennis, and surfing. In the "Touchdown!" area of the resort, make sure to check out the giant football helmets, large enough to fit 200-foot-tall football players!

It's always fun to see everyone's window decorations at the All-Star Resorts. People go all out to celebrate birthdays, sporting competitions, holidays, or even just the fact that they're on a Disney vacation! (That's reason enough to celebrate for me!) While you're welcome to decorate your window, of course you won't want to use anything that would damage the walls or the window (tacks or tape), or be difficult for your Mousekeepers to remove after your stay (any kind of window paint). Many Guests use window clings or suction cups on the windows, which are easy to remove and damage-free! You can also prop signs or plush characters on the window sill, and they'll be held up by the curtain when it's closed.

My favorite resort window decoration is string lights! All you'll need is a string of lights and some small suction cup hooks, and you can frame your window with festive lights. Not only is it easy to do and fun to look at, but it helps you locate your room at the end of a long day at the parks!

Thanks to some previous "sleuthing" by my Moms Panel friend Brandy, I can tell you that the standard room windows at the All-Star hotels measure a little bit over 36" wide by 60" tall. I hope this helps with your decoration planning!
