Hiya, Martyn! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great holiday planning question, pal!
Are you ready for some football?! It sounds as if you're ready for football
and magic! In just weeks, you'll be arriving at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, ready to begin your magical adventure and catch some NFL games. As a New Orleans girl and lifelong Saints fan, I understand how important it is to not miss your team's games, even on holiday, and we always carve out time to watch our boys in black and gold. So, Hakuna Matata, Martyn! It means "no worries!" I have researched this very topic, and I think you'll be happy to hear that there are plenty of places for you to watch football on Thursday nights, Sundays and Monday nights throughout Walt Disney World Resort. I'm more than happy to help you find your favorite watching (and cheering) spot!
First, you will absolutely be able to find the NFL games on your Resort Hotel room's television to watch right in your room, if you'd like. You will be able to watch the games on the major television networks or ESPN. If it's a late game, sometimes there is nothing I love more after a long day in the theme parks than mobile ordering some food and watching football in bed. That is the life!
If you want a more lively vibe in which to watch your football games, there are plenty of places around Walt Disney World Resort to watch! I have yet to find a place to watch football inside the theme parks, so, the Resorts and restaurants outside of the parks will be your best bet. Several of the
Deluxe Resort Hotel's lounges and restaurants, such as
Outer Rim at Disney's Contemporary Resort and
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (one of my favorite places to catch a game!) are both near Magic Kingdom Park and have televisions at the bar.
On your Disney's Hollywood Studios day, I recommend walking or taking a watercraft from the park to the BoardWalk to catch your Monday Night Football game at
Big River Grille & Brewing Works right on the BoardWalk. You can grab a cold beer and dinner and have the best time! This awesome brewpub is within walking distance to both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT! Score!
If you decide to watch your football games in Disney Springs, I recommend
Splitsville Dining Room or my fellow planDisney pal, Louisiana girl and Saints fan,
Cindy's favorite,
City Works Eatery & Pour House.
The most fun I've had, however, watching a football game at The Most Magical Place on Earth was when I watched the Superbowl from
Rix Sports Bar & Grill at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You can take a bus here from any of the parks, but you would likely have to use a rideshare service to get back to All-Star Music after a late game. But it's worth it! It's packed with other excited football fans and is the
best time!
I hope this was helpful, Martyn, and I hope you have the most magical, fun and touchdown-filled time on your upcoming holiday! Stop by with any questions you may have along the way!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
