Hi Charlotte!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Oh, how I love a split stay at Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many wonderful resort hotels to choose from - each with its own vibe and aesthetic. From the whimsical storybook landscapes of favorite Disney and Pixar films at Disney's Art of Animation Resort to the opulent elegance of the Victorian-themed
Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, there's something for every taste and budget.
Disney's Pop Century Resort has always been one of my family's "go-to" value resorts, and I've stayed there more times than I can count. I love its nostalgic theme, celebrating the pop culture of the 20th century. Each section of the resort is dedicated to a specific decade, with larger-than-life icons representing each time period. Easy access to the
Disney Skyliner is a big draw to Pop Century, as it makes getting to
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios simple and quick!
I'm excited to hear you're planning to take advantage of
Extended Evening Hours during your vacation. Extended Evening Hours are available to guests of Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Hotels, and grant access to a few extra hours in select theme parks on select nights, once the park has closed to day guests. For extended evening hours, you'll need valid admission and a Disney MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass, or Key to the World Card.
From what I was told by a Cast Member, you should still have access to Extra Evening Hours on your checkout day from a Deluxe Resort. Before you move to your second hotel, make sure to stop by the front desk and double-check to see if you'll need a special Key to the World Card to take advantage of this perk once you check in to the value resort.
I hope this helps with your planning and preparation for your upcoming vacation - have a magical time!
