Hey there, Julia, and welcome to planDisney!
The beautiful thing about a Walt Disney World vacation is that it can start as soon as you arrive! Or in this case, before you arrive! I like the way you think! Heading straight into the Theme Parks upon arrival is truly the best way to experience Disney. Admittedly, I may be a little biased though.
Julia, your resort privileges begin on your arrival day whether you are on property or not! So yes, you can reserve your first
Genie+ attraction reservation at 7 a.m. on the morning of your arrival since you are staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Just be sure to reserve a lightning lane entrance that gives you plenty of time to get into the Theme Parks upon your arrival.
On my most recent trip to Disney, I was able to Mobile Check-In to my Resort Hotel in the
My Disney Experience mobile app the day before my actual arrival. I’m not sure just how early you can check-in, but I know for sure it’s at least the day before. Using Mobile Check-In will give you one less thing to worry about the morning of your arrival! Since you are planning to head straight into the parks on your visit, I recommend you drop your bags at Bell Services when you arrive. The Bell Services Cast Member will store your luggage and give you a pick-up ticket. Keep this ticket in a safe place and head off to your adventure knowing that your luggage is safe and sound. You can also take advantage of the
Direct-To-Room service in the My Disney Experience app. This service will notify you when your hotel room is ready and show you your room number. Then, you can head straight to your room without having to stop and check-in with a Cast Member at the front desk!
I hope this helps, Julia! If you have more questions,
stop back by and ask me.
To Infinity and Beyond,
PG
