Hello, we are staying for 10 days at a WDW hotel then off-site for another 10 days. Can we still use our 14 day park pass after checking out of the Disney hotel and moving off-site please?

    Hello James!

Welcome back again to planDisney! I love that you are so eagerly planning your upcoming holiday and that you are willing to let us help you. We love talking about anything Disney here and I am very excited to help you today!

I love the UK 14-day ticket Magic Ticket which lets guests visit the Parks 14 days over an 18-day window. You select the start date when you purchase the tickets and have 18 days to use it up. This flexibility lets UK guests take their time to not only enjoy the Parks but also the Resorts! Even though you are only staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for 10 days and staying elsewhere for another 10, you still have 18 days to use the ticket. It does not expire when you check out of your Resort. It will just expire at the end of that 18th day.

Now, what will be affected once you leave a Walt Disney World Resort and go somewhere else is the benefits that Resort guests have. You will no longer be able to enjoy Early Theme Park Entry or Extended Evening Theme Park Hours if you are staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort Hotel or Disney Deluxe Villa. In addition, you will not be able to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane until when the Park opens. This can be frustrating if you are looking to enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind with minimal wait nearer to the end of your trip. I suggest getting your fill of these benefits before you leave the Resort and then enjoying the Parks a bit differently for the latter half of your trip. Start your days later and savor the details. I have a goal of one day slowing down enough to grab a ride on a Main Street Vehicle. Several antique-style vehicles including a horse-drawn trolley and even a fire engine work their way down Main Street, U.S.A. to Cinderella Castle and back again. Since I am always rushing I miss the chance to wait and board the vehicles and hope you get a chance over your trip to check it out!

I hope this is helpful and if you have any questions please feel free to let me know

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
