Hi! I will be staying at the Days Inn on West Ball Road in Anaheim, just north of Disneyland. What is the best way to walk/ get to the parks? Would we be able to walk to the parking structures and take the tram in?

    Hi Isabella,

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question! Adventure is out there, so let me help you get to yours quickly.

When staying off property, I recommend walking down Disneyland Drive. Be sure to stay on the east side of the street. After passing Magic Way, cross to the west side. This route will lead you to the Downtown Disney entrance. You'll go through security here—one step closer to the start of your day! If you’re visiting Disneyland, I recommend taking the monorail into the park from this point. It begins running at 8:00 a.m. and will drop you off right in the heart of Tomorrowland. Ask a Cast Member at the station if you can sit in the nose, or the back of the monorail. It's an amazing view!

Alternatively, you can walk east on Ball Road and then turn right onto Harbor Boulevard. You’ll see a pedestrian entrance to the park on your right-hand side. After passing through security, you’ll find yourself in the Esplanade between both parks.

When planning your trip, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the latest on entertainment, food, and news about the park. Disneyland is always introducing something new for guests, so it’s worth a peek!

I hope this helps with your planning, Isabella! If you have any more questions or need a little extra pixie dust, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to help make your Disney dreams come true!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
