    Hi, we're staying for 9 days at Animal Kingdom Lodge in May. Our 2-year-old LOVES having his bedtime warm milky. Will we be able to get milk somewhere in the hotel, and how would we warm it up at bedtime? Is there a microwave in the room? Thanks!

     Alison, your spring visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is just a few short weeks away. How very exciting! 

     As a tired mom of three, I'll do just about anything to make sure my kids sleep soundly. Well-rested kids make for well-rested parents, right? There are so many magical adventures to be had in the theme parks, that a good night's sleep is especially important during your stay. If your little guy loves his bedtime warm milky, then bedtime warm milky he shall have! I'm happy to tell you that you can purchase milk at The Mara, the Quick-Service dining location at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You won't have a microwave in your room, but there is a microwave at The Mara that is available for Guests to use. 

     If your toddler is as picky as mine, be sure to pack his favorite cup! When I'm traveling with a little one in tow, I always take a few comforts of home along. These small comforts, like a beloved stuffed animal and a familiar sound machine, help keep my kiddos happy and comfortable! 

     I recommend checking out some of the unique recreational activities at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during your stay. My family especially enjoys Night Vision Animal Viewing - what a wild experience!
