We are staying 1 day in AK with our sons ages 8 &11. We will not arrive until noon and have dinner reservations in AK at 7. What itinerary do you suggest to make the most of our time? Also how is Everest ride? Is it a roller coaster? Thanks!

As they say in Africa - Jambo Colleen!
You and your two young adventurers must be so excited about spending some time exploring Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park; it really is a terrific Park with plenty of wild wonderment waiting right around every corner.
The first thing you should do when you arrive is to pick up a Park Map and Times Guide.
I suggest heading towards Discovery Island and the Tree of Life to watch It's Tough to be a Bug!, then perhaps make your way to Africa to enjoy a Kilimanjaro Safari adventure.
Asia comes next, here you may encounter a Yeti on the roller coaster ride Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.  My boys are both quite the dare devils and love riding roller coasters; for your information they gauge this ride as being quite scary.  My family also loves the amazing Kali river Rapids, but be aware that you'll possibly get wet!  In Dinoland U.S.A there are some super fun fairground rides plus another Attraction which isn't for the faint of heart; DINOSAUR it's not a roller coaster, but is wild none the less!
After all the excitement you'll be hungry and ready for your Advanced Dining Reservation at 7pm.
Feel free to come back any time if you've further Walt Disney World Resort planning questions that I can help you with.
    Have a great Disney day.
