We are staying at CSR Sept 5-10, will The Dig Site pool be closed? Also, what other moderate-resorts offer a great themed pools?

Hi Melissa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

In no time at all, you will be on your way to the Walt Disney World Resort! The last time my family and I stayed at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, we loved walking around the water. It is so beautiful!

I spoke with a Cast Member and found out that the refurbishments involving the Dig Site Pool area are set to begin September 4, 2018, meaning it will be closed during your trip. The other three leisure pools should be open during this time and are located near the Casitas, Ranchos and Cabanas.

As for other Disney Resort hotel pools in the moderate category, I really love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for both their atmosphere and pool themes. Both Ol' Man Island (Riverside) and Doubloon Lagoon (French Quarter) offer splash-tastic fun, but Doubloon Lagoon is extra fun for little kids (48" tall and under) with their own Water Play Area.

I hope this helps with your planning, Melissa! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
