Staying at CR Main Tower, water view. Are we able to view the Electric Light Parade from our balcony or do we need to go elsewhere on property? I know we won't be able to see fireworks from our room, but where can we watch from at resort? Thanks!

Hi Teri and welcome to planDisney!

Christmastime is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World!  I love seeing all of the festive decorations all around the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.  There are so many fun Disney PhotoPass opportunities including some really amazing holiday "magic shots"!  I am so excited for your December vacation and it will be here before you know it.

Disney's Contemporary Resort holds a special place in my heart since it is one of the original Resort hotels built at Walt Disney World.  My kids think it's so cool that the monorail passes right through it, so it's really fun when we stay there.  There is no bad view when staying in a Contemporary tower room, but the rooms on the water side get a bonus since you can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the rooms.  The higher the floor you are on, the better view you will have.  I love watching it from the beach area near the pool, which I think is the best view around.  If you're around in the evening to watch it more than once, grab a cup of hot chocolate and try out a couple of different locations.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
