We will be staying at the Coronado and will be visiting EPx2, MKx2.5, HSx1 and AKx1, always arriving for rope drop, returning to the room for naps. Is it better to rent a car or use the Disney transport system? No stroller for my 4 and 7 y.o. Thanks!

Hi, Catherine!    It sounds like you have quite the itinerary planned!   Just remember that your kids are still pretty young, so be flexible if they need to sleep in one day or want to just spend a day splashing in the pool!

I like driving my own car to the theme parks with one exception:   Magic Kingdom.   If you drive, you have to park your car, take a tram to the TTC, then transfer to the monorail or ferry boat to reach the Magic Kingdom.  If you take your resort bus, it will drop you right at the front gates, much more convenient!   For the other 3 theme parks, we like to drive and not have to wait for the bus.  Parking at the theme parks is free for Disney Resort guests.

One other note.  You may want to reconsider the stroller.   There is a LOT of walking, especially at Epcot, and I think you will find the quality of your days is much better if your 4 year old could rest in a stroller.   My son is 6 and would never dare be seen in a stroller at home, but his little legs need a rest after a long day in the theme parks.   If you have it, just bring along a light umbrella stroller, I think you will be happy you did!  Strollers are also available for rent in any of the theme parks but can get pricey after a week of renting!

I hope you and your family have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
