We are staying at Coronado Springs the week of Thanksgiving. We have a breakfast at 9:30 at Magic Kingdom. How much time should I give myself to get to MK from CS? I have heard leave 1 1/2 early and that seems like too much time to me.

Hi Crystal! Although the bus transportation system at Disney is organized and efficient for most of the time you must also realize that you don't want to start your day off stressing when you are trying to get to a dining reservation in a park.

Buses will leave about every 15-20 minutes from your resort to the Magic Kingdom. The trip itself will take about 18 minutes. If you add the trip and a possible wait time for a bus it is now at 40 minutes. Once you reach the park you will run into lines since this is the opening time of the park so add another 15 minutes possible to your trip there. Then add a few more minutes for the walk to your restaurant.

I would recommend you give yourself at least an hour. An hour and a half is generous but I always say better to have the extra time then to rush and lose a reservation. An hour should be fine and definitely good if you are one of the lucky guests who always seem to have good timing and the bus is out waiting at the stop for you. Our family is the opposite. We are usually watching it pull away when we arrive and then have to sit and wait the 20 minutes for the next one! Have a great day in the Magic Kingdom!
