Hi! We will be staying at the Coronado Springs Resort in May. I have been gluten free for a year. We are planning on only eating quick service meals during our trip. Can you recommend the best restaurants to accommodate gf diets?

    Hi, Kimberly!

Thanks for sending this question to us at Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's a great one!

I travel often with folks who have dietary restrictions, so I keep an eye on options while traveling throughout Walt Disney World. Truly, I know of no other place that offers more delicious ways to accommodate such restrictions.

On this list of Special Dietary Requests at Walt Disney World, gluten is one of the many food allergies that Cast Members can help you avoid. Recently, we were purchasing an item at a kiosk in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and a Guest in front of us asked if an item her daughter wanted was gluten-free. Immediately, the Cast Member took out a thick binder, then turned to the page of ingredients on that item; sure enough, it was gluten-free, and the girl skipped off, thoroughly enjoying her ice cream.

Take a look at menus prior to arrival, so that everyone can find several food options. For example, check out this list of Counter Service, Fast Casual, and Food Truck locations in the four theme parks, and click on those that intrigue you. You'll be able to check the online menu to see what appeals most to you.

At Magic Kingdom Park, you'll find great gluten-free options at Columbia Harbour House and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, but Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe takes the GF cake with their multitude of options. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, ABC Commissary has a fantastic gluten-free menu, as does Backlot Express, and Catalina Eddie's.  Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park's GF offerings include those at (our fav) Flame Tree BarbecueHarambe Market, and Pizzafari. There are many GF options at Epcot, too, so be sure to check those menus and ask a Cast Member when ordering which are gluten-free.

Be sure to access the My Disney Experience mobile app so that you can reference menus and easily find your dining locations once at the parks.

Enjoy every morsel on your visit, Kimberly! Send us your questions as you plan your magical stay!
