Staying at Coronado Springs pre-cruise for one night. Any insider tips for this hotel? Preferred village? Dining? Anything at all! Thanks, moms! Sailing with 2 boys, 8 & 9, plus grandparents.

    Hi Deanna,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. So good to know that you are going on a Disney Cruise! I have stayed at this hotel for four times, and it is my favorite one in the moderate category. The entire resort is themed to resemble the architecture of Northern Mexico and the American Southwest with all its wonderful Spanish influence, it’s really beautiful and you can feel the Mexican vibe. We like to stay at Cabanas area because, is close enough to the food court and the bus transportation system. By calling Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, you can specifically request where you want to stay, if it’s possible, request building 9b, the hotel Cast Members will do their best to try to accommodate your needs. Maya Grill has a lovely and elaborated menu, I had a fish with mashed potato and it was the best meal I had in that trip. May I suggest that you should consider book a dinner for you family at Sanaa? It’s located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, the whole Africa atmosphere is amazing and you can spot animal like Zebras, Ostriches, Gazelles and many more, while having your meal. You will need to book in advance because reservations is required.  Since you are at WDW hotels, you can use the complementary transportation. You can go there by commuting, you can catch a bus to Magic Kingdom Ticket and Transportation Center and there you catch another bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Do the reverse to come back to your hotel for a good night of sleep preparing yourselves for the whole cruise activities.
    Have a magical vacation!
    Warm hugs.
