Hey, howdy, hey, Blandine and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Ahhh,
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, how I long for the days where I can relax on the beach of Lago Dorado in a hammock and drift away like the clouds. Enjoy this unique place to unwind in the yesteryears of the Mayan culture.
The rule of thumb is there are always conventions at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I contacted Convention Services to get more information and they assured me there are conventions during your visit but are not able to disclose which and how large. I have stayed at this Resort hotel during convention season and have not felt the effects of the convention Guests. Usually, convention attendees are in the Convention Center during the day and leave for the theme parks mid-afternoon or early evening. If you want to be as far from the convention action as possible then request a room in the Ranchos or Cabanas areas by contacting Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936. My suggestion is to request the Ranchos area as is the furthest from El Centro (the lobby) and the Convention Center and will likely be the quietest. We love the southwestern rock formations and cacti as we mozy through the Ranchos buildings.
Disney Dad Tip: We plan an entire
pool day when we stay here. The 123-foot-long Jaguar slide is the must-do of the Lost City of Cibola at the Dig Site. The kids play in the pool and get squirted by the totems as we relax enjoying a Parrot Passion drink and Fish Tacos from
Siestas Cantina.
Blandine, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
