    We are staying at the Coronado Springs and would like to find a grocery store close by. Any ideas and what would a cab ride to this store cost?????

    Hi Diane,

    I did rent a taxi cab once when I was staying at the Pop Century Resort, which is located a little bit further away than the Coronado Springs Resort, keep this in mind (you may find your fare a little bit less expensive than mine) if you are going to the same place to shop as I did.  The location that I used was Goodings Grocery Store located at the Cross Roads Plaza in Lake Buena Vista (very close to Downtown Disney).  The only downside to this grocery store is that I found it to be quite "pricey".  This taxi ride cost me $14.00 at that time for a return trip.  I did schedule them to drop me off and pick me up an hour later so I could finish my shopping and would not have a "running meter" during this time!  I do know of a few other options that you could try instead of "hailing" a cab, and that is to order the groceries to be delivered to your resort and these 3 do deliver to most of the Walt Disney World Resorts.  You can either phone them or you can order online and they are:  www.goodings.com (407)827-1200; www.wegoshop.com (407)432-5044; and www.gardengrocer.com 1-866-855-4350.  Just so you know, there is a gift shop located at the Coronado Springs Resort which does stock your "basic" grocery needs, but for more variety you will need to use one of the above options. Moral of this story...I always rent a car now as this experience is okay for "once in a blue moon" for your necessities, but I do love having the freedom of driving myself whenever I need to go somewhere and not relying on taxi's for this.  I hope this helps you a bit.
