    We are staying at Coronado Springs and have ADR at Chef Mickey's 8:30 Thanksgiving Morning and plan to visit Epcot afterwards. We will have our own vehicle and are debating the best method of transportation to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello, Erin!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    Personally, I simply love utilizing the Walt Disney World Transportation System.  If I'm on vacation, there is nothing better than allowing someone else do all the driving.  I also feel that utilizing Disney's Transportation System can shed some minutes off your travel time.  

    One of the great things about Disney is that they think of everything.  Buses begin running between 6:30-6:45 a.m. for guests with early morning dining reservations.  Simply head on down to your resort's bus stop and look for a bus whose marquee may read one of the following:  "Character Dining", "Special" or "Dining." At least, these are the ones I am most familiar with.  Let your driver know where you need to be and you and your family will be on your way.  

    If you plan on taking your car to Disney's Contemporary for your dining experience, please note that you will only be allowed to keep your car in the resort's parking lot for only 2 to 3 hours.  I highly recommend taking a bus to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's and then walking the short distance to the Magic Kingdom. The Monorail System is right outside the gates to the Magic Kingdom.  Simply look for the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) entrance and board the monorail.  Once you arrive at the TTC, exit and then walk a VERY short distance to the Epcot Monorail. You will quickly arrive at Epcot and ready to begin a day of fun!  At the end of the day, simply head to the bus stop and catch a bus back to your resort.
