Staying at Coronado in Sept. w/ D7 D4, we will have our own car. Is it better to drive to the parks each day or use the bus system? So excited, first trip!

Hi, Gina!  Some people love the Disney transportation system, I am 50/50 on it!    My family always rents a car for our WDW trips.   We always drive to the parks, EXCEPT to Magic Kingdom.  Here, it is much easier to simply take the bus as the bus depot is just outside the main gates of the Magic Kingdom (if you drive, you need to park, take tram, then monorail . . . too much transferring for me!)

For the other parks, Downtown Disney, water parks, and especially when dining at other resorts, we find our car to be the most convenient transportation.  Parking is free to all Disney Resort guests, so make sure to display your parking pass (which you will receive at check-in) on your dashboard.

If another mom answered this question, you very well may have been told to park the car and rely on buses.   So, what you may want to do is try the buses.  If they work, great.  If not, you have your car for your next day's park adventure!

Have a great stay, I just love Coronado Springs and their super cozy queen size beds!   Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
