Welcome to planDisney, Lisa and thanks for dropping by with your question.
Lisa, as a
Disney Vacation Club Member whose “home” resort is
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, I never miss an opportunity to pretend I’m a geyser and GUSH about this property. With the warm feel of the Pacific Northwest and the
boat transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, this resort is such an oasis!
While I could go on…
(and on, and on…) let’s talk about location and room requests. First, one of the things I love most about this resort is its relative compactness. Because the property is not spread out, regardless of room location, you are a short walk away from the
Copper Creek Springs Pool and great dining options like Whispering Canyon Café, Roaring Fork and (my favorite)
Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Now, when considering a room request, I always like to think about our priorities.
If we are maximizing the park hours and not planning to spend much time in the villa, I will request a villa that’s close to the lobby or close to an elevator. You can even request ground floor if you like. My friend and fellow panelist, Betsy, stayed on the ground floor last year and loved the easy access. Alternatively, if (like me) you enjoy an early morning cup of coffee on your balcony and want to maximize your views, I would request a room on the 4th or 5th floor, looking at Bay Lake or the pools. While the 6th and 7th floors do allow you to see farther, many of those balconies have dormers that restrict the light. To make these more specific requests, please
call Member Services if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member using your Membership OR if you are a cash guest, please
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and ask the Cast Member to note your request on your reservation.
Lisa, regardless of which request you make please keep in mind that while Cast Members do their best, requests can’t be guaranteed. No matter what your view or location, rest assured you’ll love your 2-Bedroom Villa at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. As you are enjoying your resort stay I encourage you to stop in at the front desk and ask about the scavenger hunts. On our most recent stay my kids completed one of the hidden Mickey hunts and the (seasonal) Patriotic bear hunt. These are a fun way to explore the resort and marvel at the many details you might not otherwise see.
If you have any additional questions, please come on back to your new friend hEAR at planDisney.
Wishing you a pixie dusted stay,
Lauren
