We are staying at the contemporary in 2 weeks and this is our first time at Disney. I am wanting to bring milk and a few other things that need to be refrigerated and wanted to know if we have a fridge in our room. And, is there a microwave available?

    Hi Tod,

My family and I really enjoy Disney's Contemporary Resort.  It is such a classic Disney resort, and the walking distance to Magic Kingdom is great!

I also like having milk and other grocery items in my room when I am vacationing at Walt Disney World.  All of the rooms at Disney's Contemporary Resort do include a small refrigerator.  As to the microwave, if you are in a larger room or suite, there might be one included.  In many of the rooms, you need to request a microwave if you would like one.  I recommend that you check the type of room that you booked and then call Disney's Contemporary Resort at 407-824-1000 directly to see if your room type includes a microwave.  If it does not, you can make the request for a microwave on your reservation using the same means that you used to book the reservation.  For example, if you booked directly with Disney on the phone, call them at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) to make the request.  When you are within ten days of your check-in, you could make the request by calling Disney's Contemporary Resort directly.  Please note that Disney will do their best to honor all requests; however, they are not guaranteed.

I hope this information helps, Tod.  Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
