We are staying at the Contemporary in sept. First time at dlx resort. Concerned about travel time to some parks since I'm reading we share buses with poly and GF. Is it really going to take 45 to get to HS and AK? Change to Poly for proximity to TTC?

Hi Larisa!  I have stayed at the Contemporary multiple times and have always found the bus service to be prompt.  Yes, you will share the bus with another deluxe resort but I never found it to be too much of a delay to stop and pick up additional guests.  Where it may get frustrating is if a bus arrives at your resort and it's already full of guests from another resort.  In general, I do plan on allowing 45-60 minutes to get where I need to go when using the bus transportation.

However, I would not change resorts for the proximity to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).  Although you can walk to the TTC from the Poly, it is a quick, 1 stop monorail ride away from the Contemporary.  Additionally, the Contemporary is the only resort that you can walk to Magic Kingdom from which has always been an added bonus for us.

I think overall you will find the Contemporary a very convenient location to stay.  And, you always have the option to use a taxi to get to a park - just stop by Bell Services on your way out for assistance.

I hope this helps with your decision!  Diane
