Hi! We'll be staying at the Contemporary Resort and were wondering if it'll be faster to just walk to Magic Kingdom or take the monorail? Want to get there as soon as the park opens! Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the Moms Panel! Well, this is always a great question and one that can change from guest to guest. Now, with that being said, my husband and I have timed this excursion before with every Contemporary Resort stay. I would take the Monorail System and my husband insisted on walking. I truly believed the Monorail System was faster. My husband was always waiting for me at the turn stiles. First, I had to wait for the Monorail. Then we made some stops at other WDW Resorts. Next, was a small trek to the entrance gates. I will succeed one day! Now, depending on the time of year you will be visiting, the crowds can add some more wait time for the Monorail System. If you are visiting during a low attendance period, you may find that there is a slight difference in time. I highly recommend walking, but you will also want to experience the Monorail System. It is such a part of Disney history! Thank you so much for visiting the Moms Panel. Please join us again real soon should any new questions or concerns pop-up. We are always ready to help our guests plan the vacation of a lifetime. May your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation be filled many new and MAGICAL memories! ~Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON"!~
