We are staying at the contemporary resort for a week next september. My mom and some other family are staying at AOA. Because I am a guest at contemporary, can they come to our hotel and swim at our resort ?

Hi Nicole! When families all gather at Walt Disney World for vacation you certainly want to spend as much time as possible together. And that can often include spending time on hot days in your resort pool. But...and this is a big but....you cannot swim at other resort pools then the one where you are a registered guest. In Disney terms you are not allowed to pool hop.

The Contemporary Resort has two pools with one being a quiet pool. Although these are not surrounded at this time by fencing there will be signs posted alerting that only Contemporary Resort guests may use the facilities. Lifeguards will be on hand to check at times for your resort identification. The Art of Animation resort also has several pools including the largest on property, The Big Blue Pool. This is surrounded by fencing allowing only resort guests access.

Sometimes it is good to all head back to your respective resorts, have a rest, enjoy some cool down swim time, and then gather again for more family activities. The resorts must keep the pools restrictive for their guests as some would become overwhelmingly crowded and then become less safe. It can seem frustrating but understand it is with the best interest for resort guests that they do this.
