We are staying at the Contemporary Resort for two nights in February 2020 before going on a Disney Cruise. Our room is Garden Wing Deluxe Room. What is the best room to request for proximity to the Magic Kingdom/ fireworks viewing? Thanks!

    Hey, howdy, hey, Kevin!

What a coincidence! It just so happens that my family also has reservations for a land and sea adventure starting at Disney's Contemporary Resort followed by a Disney Cruise Line cruise next year. We are really looking forward to our visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth along with what we consider our seafaring home away from home!

The convenient walk to the main gates of Magic Kingdom Park was the main reason we chose a stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Because the resort is quite compact, I feel like just about any location will be great for proximity to the Magic Kingdom. You’ll find a quiet paradise in your Garden Wing Deluxe Room. A few of the Garden Wing rooms may even enjoy an obstructed view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Particularly, rooms at the extreme northeast corner of the Garden Wing that face toward the pool or toward the main tower may have a view of the amazing pyrotechnic display. If you are up for an amazing fine dining experience, the fireworks views from the California Grill are some of the best at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. If you happen to be in a room that faces Bay Lake, you may even enjoy a stunning view of the Electrical Water Pageant. Note that while Disney Cast Members will try their hardest to honor special requests, specific rooms cannot always be guaranteed. Also, fireworks and other entertainment offerings are subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather or other reasons.

I hope you have a magical stay at Walt Disney World and aboard the Disney Cruise Line, Kevin! Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions you may have and Walt Disney World or the Disney Cruise Line.
