Hi Carly! Thanks so much for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You and your precious little one will be at Walt Disney World Resort in a few short days and I know you are busy getting everything together for your vacation.
My son was 9 months old during his 1st trip to Walt Disney World Resort and his first room type was Atrium Club Level at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I was a bit worried about him not sleeping well but it wasn't an issue at all. The hustle and bustle of our time in the theme parks made for some very restful nights. His sister was almost 3 and she slept well too.
He slept through the fireworks without issue. The Electrical Water Pageant woke him up a couple of times but he quickly went back to sleep. The Electrical Water Pageant may or may not impact you based on your room location. Quickly into our vacation, we were basically in the "ready position" when the Electrical Water Pageant occurred. As soon as it began, we were there with loving pats on his back and he barely even stirred. You may also decide that bedtime means far less at Walt Disney World Resort than when you are at home. There were a couple of nights we returned to our room later than expected and our kiddos experienced the fireworks from the club level lounge and the Electrical Water Pageant from our room. They loved it!
You will find more than enough room to accommodate the pack and play next to the bed in your room and the drapes make the room very dark and cozy. Disney provides all of the bedding you need but I also brought some items from home.
I'm so excited for you! You will be in awe as you experience Walt Disney World Resort through the eyes of your little girl! Enjoy every magical moment!!
