Hey there, Connie!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by. I would like to first begin by sending the best birthday wishes over to you and your family! “Happy Birthday!”. Walt Disney World is my favorite place to celebrate another year. My husband and I have birthdays one day apart from each other, so we try and celebrate them with a Walt Disney World vacation.
Great news! You have a few options when it comes to ordering that very special treat! The first is enjoying it after a meal at
select dining locations. All you will need to do is modify your dining reservation online. You can do this by using the
My Disney Experience app and adding the Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to your reservation. You can also submit your order in person at the restaurant’s host podium four days before your reservation. How you pay is completely up to you. Just let your server know.
You can also order your cake while in your resort. Again, you have a few options on how to do it. The first is by heading down to
Contempo Cafe and selecting your option there. This is what my husband did for my birthday. After lunch he went in for a “beverage refill” and walked out with a cake! We were a group of four adults and two kids so we managed to finish most of the cake. And just in time for me to order another flavor to celebrate him. I placed a
mobile order for his cake using the My Disney Experience app. Fun fact, every part of the cake is edible, including the ears!
When my husband and I ordered our cakes, we both did it the day of, since we enjoyed lunch at our resort. You can always pop into Contemp Cafe sooner to see if the Cast Member there recommends ordering sooner though. And don’t worry, you can pay however you wish! A
room charge is not necessary when making this purchase or any other purchase throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
Happy Birthday to your crew, Connie. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help make this trip even more magical.
See ya real soon.
