Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Candice. I'm so glad you stopped by!
How exciting that you and your little guy can tag-along on your husband's work trip. You'll love staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort! I think you'll find that there are lots of things to do with your 10-month old there.
A monorail ride is a must-do! The monorail goes right through Disney's Contemporary Resort, so hopping on the Resort line is a breeze. You're welcome to get off and explore Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. There are trails at both that make for a lovely walk with the stroller. I bet your son would enjoy a quick boat ride to Disney's Wilderness Lodge and back too. The weather should be plenty warm for swimming and toddling through the water playground at Disney's Contemporary Resort. You and your son can also play in the sand on the nearby beach! I recommend making a dining reservation at Chef Mickey's. This is a great first Character Experience for little ones! We took my son there for the first time when he was about the age of your baby. Goofy tried giving him a bottle! That memory is just priceless.
Since Disney's Contemporary Resort is just a short walk away from
Magic Kingdom Park, I suggest planning a day there with your son. My daughter made her first visit to the theme parks last summer when she was just 10-months old, and she had the BEST time! She especially loved sailing through "it's a small world," flying to Neverland on Peter Pan's Flight, riding in a honey pot on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and playing in the indoor playground at Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, Candice!
