Hi Michael!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! This is a great question because the earlier you can make
FastPass+ selections and
Advance Dining Reservations, the more likely you are to get your choice of options and times. I am a planner by nature, and I am always ready to go with my list!
FastPass+ selections can only be made online, using either the
My Disney Experience Website or the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. You cannot reserve them over the phone. Guests who are staying on property can begin making FastPass+ selections 60 days before resort check-in, at 7 am eastern time. So, to answer your question specifically - False. Guests staying at off-property resorts can begin reserving FastPass+, 30 days before the day of their visit.
Perhaps the confusion occurred with thinking about making Advance Dining Reservations. For Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, Advance Dining Reservations can be made for up to 10 days of your vacation, beginning 180 days before check-in.
You may make reservations by phone at 7 am, and online at 6 am. Some dining location reservations may open online as early as 5:45 am, so it can be helpful to start checking right away. Guest staying off property may reserve 180 days in advance, one day at a time.
It looks like your FastPass+ selection day is coming up soon. My Disney Mom Pro Tip is to remember that you don’t have to make your FastPass+ selections in chronological order. For hard to secure attractions like
Avatar Flight of Passage or
Slinky Dog Dash, plan to visit those parks toward the end of your trip, and try to book those days first, for the best chance to find a FastPass.
I hope this helps, Michael. Sending you pixie dust for that perfect FastPass!
