I will be staying at the Contemporary Resort for a conference in June. The classes will be held at the GF, starting at 7:30AM. Will the monorail be running that early in the morning? If not, what are my other options?

Welcome back to planDisney, Rita! Thanks so much for coming back to us with another question.

One of the things I love the most about a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is that there is a robust and complimentary transportation system to get me where I need to go. The monorail is one of my favorite forms of transportation because it's so quick and I love the nostalgia factor! Typically, the monorail begins running around 7:00 a.m. so you should be able to get to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa by 7:30 a.m. if you catch one of the first ones in the morning. These times are subject to change though, so be sure to double-check when you arrive at Disney's Contemporary Resort so you have the most up-to-date information.

Since it's always good to have a backup plan, keep in mind that you can always call for a rideshare to take you between Resort Hotels. This is a great option in case there are any delays in the morning or if you want to start your journey before 7:00 a.m. You can also walk between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridan Resort and Spa! You'll walk to Magic Kingdom Park and go through the security check, and then continue on the walking path toward your destination. This walk takes about 30 minutes, so it's a great way to get your steps in!

    Have a magical day, Rita!
