Hi Lauren!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Donald's Safari Breakfast is our favorite breakfast on property. It is our "must-do" restaurant on every trip. I take a picture of my two boys with the characters every year and love that I have a "time-lapse" of them at this restaurant. At 14 and 17, they now tower over everyone except Goofy!
Buses do begin running about one hour prior to a park's opening. You can stop by the front desk the day before your meal to double check what time they will run the following morning. I would allow at least one hour of travel time on the buses to get there, enter the park and then walk to the restaurant. You do have a grace period, but I try to never be more than 15 minutes late. Buses in the morning are usually plentiful and quick as they know a lot of Guests will be heading to the parks.
There are other options for you. Traditional taxi cabs always work, as well as the newer on-demand methods of Uber and Lyft. I have used Uber many times. It will save you a lot of time over the buses and usually runs between $6-$10 for travel between two locations on property. Walt Disney World has also recently rolled out their
Minnie Van service. For a flat $20 fee, they will take you anywhere on property. These are nice if you have small children because they keep car seats in each vehicle. I believe the service now includes Contemporary Resort Guests, but you can also ask at the front desk about this.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions and enjoy your delicious breakfast.
