I love
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It’s definitely a classic, and you seriously can’t beat the location. You’re within walking distance of Magic Kingdom Park, very close to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and you even have the Monorail running through the resort! Great choice!
Riding the
Walt Disney World Monorail is a ride in and of itself, and I especially love the scenic trip to EPCOT. I’m happy to report that the Monorail does remain open for Guests taking advantage of
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. It will continue operating until after whichever park is observing Extended Evening Hours, either EPCOT or Magic Kingdom Park, officially closes.
Long story short, you won’t be left stranded. The Monorail will be there to bring you home! And if the Monorail happens to be down for any reason,
buses are also available to take you back to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Extended Evening Hours are so fun, Amy! I love the lower wait times across the park. My favorite attraction in all of Walt Disney World Resort is
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Extended Evening Hours are the perfect time to ride it!
You’ll also be visiting during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! Be sure to take advantage of all of the available festival offerings during the daytime. My personal favorite is The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, which features tons of visually appealing snacks and sips.
