    Hi Moms, We're staying at the Contemporary next week and have reservations for breakfast at 8:15 at Akershus. Epcot opens at 9:00, so how do we get to Akershus if Epcot isn't open? How early can we get monorail transportation? Thanks for your help!

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

    Disney advertises that the monorail will start running an hour before the official park opening time.  However, it has been my experience that it will usually start a little bit sooner than that (and sometimes a lot sooner).  From the Contemporary, you can ride the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center, change to a different monorail, and then ride to Epcot.  I suggest being at the Contemporary's monorail station by 7:45 am.  However, I also suggest talking to a Disney Cast Member at the front desk the night before to see if this is your best option.  Another option is to take a taxi from the Contemporary to Epcot, but I really think you will be okay.

    Once you arrive at Epcot, you will find one turnstile open for guests with early morning breakfast reservations.  Just head to that turnstile. I recommend bringing your confirmation number just in case, but the Disney Cast Member there generally already has a list of guests with early morning reservations.
