Disney’s Contemporary Resort is such a nostalgic resort. The iconic A-Frame tower gives it an ultra-modern look that had not been seen before its opening in 1971. I’ve had the opportunity to stay at this resort a few times, and I never tire of it. While you are there, be sure to check out the 90-foot-tall mural by Disney Legend Mary Blair, responsible for the distinct look and feel of the “It’s a Small World” attraction, which celebrates the Grand Canyon and the American Southwest.
Guests with a valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation can make reservations for the entire length of stay (up to 10 nights) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. Based on your arrival date of June 23rd, you can begin making your reservations on April 24th. Advanced dining reservations can be made through the
Walt Disney World website or through the
My Disney Experience app starting around 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. In my experience, I would suggest waking up a little early, as I have seen some restaurants become available as early as 5:45 AM. I love to use the app because it is so simple. From the home screen, tap the plus button, then tap the first option, Check Dining Availability. Enter your party size, date, preferred time, and location (Magic Kingdom & Nearby Resorts), and all of the available restaurants and times will pop up. Scroll down and choose Victoria & Albert’s, then choose a time. If, for some reason, you are unable to make a reservation, keep checking regularly. Guests change or cancel their reservations all of the time, and I’ve been able to get a reservation that was unavailable just by checking back in daily at various times.
