Staying at Contemporary and hoping to visit some other resorts during non park time. We already have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare. Which other resorts do you suggest? Traveling with 3 kids 5 and under during Christmas time.

    Hi Kim,

With so many fabulous restaurants to experience at Walt Disney World, it can be very difficult when trying to choose which ones you would like to visit during your stay.

Here are my top 3 non-character meals located at the Disney Resort hotels, all of which are family friendly:-

1/ 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort
The food here is absolutely delicious and there is a lot of entertainment available such as coconut races where children sweep coconuts with brooms across the floor as well as other fun activities where everyone is encouraged to dance, hula hoop and take part in limbo competitions.

2/ Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort
This is a somewhat rowdy restaurant where children can ride around on stick horses and take part in the hokey pokey amongst other things. The all-you-care-to-enjoy Canyon Skillet is amazing and if you do decide to eat here, make sure that your children ask for some ketchup with their meal!

3/ Boma at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Whilst the food here is a little more exotic than the other two restaurants, there will be more regular choices available on the children's menu. Before or after your meal, take a walk outside to the Uzima Savanna Overlook behind the pool where you will be able to see the animals. Great views of the animals are also available at the Arusha Rock Savanna Overlook, which you can find by going to the back side of the lobby.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
