    We are staying at the Contemporary. Want to go to Boma, but might be too inconvenient. How much trouble is travel from Contemporary, and how much time? Traveling with 5 year old. Debating whether to go from DD, or straight from our hotel... thanks!

    Let me say that Boma-Flavors of Africa is one of our favorite restaurants! Be sure to try the Zebra Domes!

    I do not think that your destination is too inconvenient, whether you take the trip from Downtown Disney or from Disney's Contemporary Resort. 

    I think that the following alternatives might help with your decision, assuming your are taking the bus:
    • If you are leaving from your resort; walk to the Magic Kingdom Park bus stop and catch the Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge bus.
    • If you are leaving from Downtown Disney; catch Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge bus at the bus stop.
    • When it is time to return to your resort; take the bus from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Magic Kingdom Park bus stop, and take the short walk back to Disney's Contemporary Resort.
    Either way, the walk from Disney's Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom Park bus stop is about 5-10 minutes. Depending on your departure location, once you are on the bus, it could take about 15-20 minutes (depending on traffic, etc.) to arrive at your destination.

    No matter what you decide, you are creating perfect memories. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
