Hello there, Andrew. I'm so glad you've stopped by
planDisney to chit-chat about your upcoming vacation plans!
Disney's Contemporary Resort is so much fun, Andrew. I think you are really going to enjoy staying there. My family and I stay in a cabin at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground every year for Christmas and going to
Trail's End Restaurant is a tradition for us. Are you thinking of breakfast or dinner? Both meals are incredible so there isn't really a bad choice.
To get from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort you'll need to head over to Magic Kingdom Park first. My suggestion is to use the walking path that connects the two and then head down to the boat launch area. Once there, you'll hop on a boat over to Disney's Fort Wilderness and you'll be on your way. If you don't want to walk, you can also hop on the monorail from your resort and ride it over to Magic Kingdom Park, getting out on the 4th stop. Just like in the other option, you'll then head down to the boat launch area and hop on the water taxi over to the campground. The boat will let you off right in the Settlement area where you'll find Trail's End Restaurant, it will be easy for you to find.
If you arrive at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground a little ahead of your dining reservation, you can always stop by
Crockett's Tavern for a before-dinner cocktail. This little bar is so fun, all of the bartenders are so nice! They'll fix you up anything you'd like but I'm partial to the spicy margaritas. They also have a nice variety of specialty mocktails to choose from if you aren't in the mood for alcohol or are under age. It can be a fun spot to wait on your dinner reservation.
I hope this helps, Andrew. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun and enjoy!
